About StrategiQ Analytics

Hands-on expertise. Direct delivery.

StrategiQ Analytics is a founder-led Power BI and data consultancy built around direct technical ownership: understand the business, get to the real data, solve the logic, build the system and leave the client able to run it.

Meet the founder

Meet Connor Cook, founder of StrategiQ Analytics.

My Power BI work has always been end to end. That has meant helping IT work through licensing and on-premises gateways, finding ways into obscure enterprise systems, dealing with legacy 32-bit environments, learning unfamiliar business processes, modelling the logic, building the report, deploying it and supporting the people who use it.

That is what StrategiQ Analytics is built around: one accountable technical lead who can follow the problem all the way from “where does this number actually come from?” to a production solution that people trust.

“Complex underneath. Simple to use.”

The best BI absorbs the complexity of the process, source systems and business rules so the people using it do not have to carry that complexity every time they need an answer.

Where the experience comes from

Experience built in real reporting environments.

The experience behind StrategiQ Analytics was built in organisations where reporting had history, dependencies, stakeholders and consequences.

Higher education

Large operational datasets

Multi-departmental reporting, legacy databases and business processes where understanding what the data means matters as much as querying it.

Independent client work

Focused operational reporting

Projects where recurring extracts, spreadsheets and manual preparation had become the bottleneck between operational data and useful information.

The experience that shaped the approach

Long-established reporting logic does not fit neatly into a project brief.

One of the most substantial pieces of in-house work behind the founder’s experience involved a long-established financial reporting process. I started without an accounting background, learned the logic from the people using it, traced the data back to its sources, validated inherited calculations and rebuilt the Power BI side end to end.

  • Understand the business before deciding what the model should look like.
  • Challenge inherited logic rather than reproducing it blindly.
  • Keep architecture no more complicated than the problem requires.
  • Build something the next person can understand, explain and maintain.
As StrategiQ Analytics grows

Direct communication and clear ownership.

Every engagement should give you clear responsibilities, practical communication and a reporting solution your team can understand and maintain.

What clients should not have to buy

  • Layers of people between the business problem and the person solving it.
  • Architecture added because it looks enterprise rather than because it is needed.
  • Dependency on a consultant simply because the handover was never designed properly.
  • A dashboard that looks finished while the process underneath remains fragile.

What StrategiQ Analytics is designed to preserve

  • Technical people close to the client and the business process.
  • Clear ownership from discovery through delivery and support.
  • Lean, maintainable architecture matched to the actual requirement.
  • Documentation, explanation and knowledge transfer built into delivery.
Start with the problem

If the reporting process is getting in the way of the business, let’s look at it.

You do not need a finished technical specification. Explain what is painful, where the data lives and what the business needs to do better.
